Congratulations,goes out to Carolyn Goines, league operator and shooter for the Poole Palace 2, located in Decatur GA. and her team Ace Cargo, for winning the “Fall 2005” Loop Leagues of America championship title and bringing the league’s traveling trophy back to her establishment for the second consecutive season.



 

League 5-player Team “8-ball” Championship Tournament

 

On December 10, 2005, nine 5-player teams from the league made it to the league’s championship playoffs, which were held at Barley’s Billiards, Downtown Atlanta.

 

TEAMS

 Too Serious and Ace Cargo represented Poole Palace 2.

Top Gunz, Old School, L.I.T., and The Teachers represented JR’s Billiards.

The Warriors and The Hustlers represented Barley’s Billiards.

The Sharp Shooters represented Jay’s Sports Bar.

 1st ROUND PLAYOFFS

 Warriors defeated Top Gunz, 118 to 104.

Ace Cargo defeated L.I.T. 137 to 94.

The Teachers defeated The Hustlers 131 to 121.

The Sharp Shooters defeated Old School 122 to 109.

 2nd ROUND

 The Teachers (JR’s) defeated The Sharp Shooters (Jay’s) 125 to 124.

Too Serious (Poole Palace 2) defeated The Warriors (Barley’s) 134 to 121.

3rd ROUND

 Ace Cargo (Poole Palace 2) defeated The Teachers (JR’s) 118 to 109.

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND

 

Well, it was a win/lose & a win/win situation for Poole Palace 2 AGAIN.

Ace Cargo defeated Too Serious 121 to 115, in the championship round, to take first place and the trophies back to Decatur, a.k.a “The Dec”

 1st place & trophies went to Ace Cargo. Too Serious took 2nd place.

 3rd place went to The Teachers.
